Janvi's Pov

I smiled looking at the caller ID and picked up the call in one go. As it was a group video call I could hear the bickering of the whole group as well as I could look how annoyed Iti was.

To stop their bickering, I said "Hey guys, what's up? Why did you all called at this time? Anything serious?" As I said everyone stopped bickering and looked at me.

"Ohh so our very own president picked our call." One of them said.

"Sorry Mahi you know na today I had an important meeting with the Indian client, he can be the one who could help me settle the new branch of my company in India." I told her the truth even though she knew it.

"By the way why are you just in your bathrobe? Were you working out baby girl? Did we disturbed you?" One of them said and smirked.

"Stop it Sam. I am at home and without earphones. At least give disclaimer while speaking." Iti screamed making us all laugh.

" Baby G how are you? How is your married life going on?" I asked changing the topic and she blushed.

"Have you done all the after wedding stuff ?" Iti asked her voice low and full of curiosity.

Her eyes widened as if the cat was caught but she shook her head in no.

"Nope not yet I want to take things slow, but..." she extended the letter t and we all looked at her in curiosity.

"We kissed." She said.

And that was it.

Mahira and Samiksha started teasing her. Long forgotten was the topic for what they called for. I smiled looking at them I love them so much. They are the best people I could ever ask for I wish we stay together forever. Everyone stopped teasing and suddenly looked at me.

"Ohoo looks like someone is thinking about someone special." Mahi said as always not leaving a chance to tease anyone.

I just rolled my eyes and that's when Mahi said "Guys can we get to the main topic as to why I called you?"

"As you say my lady." Iti said and we giggled.

"Sooo..... ittt..... is....." I looked at her and thought the girl who makes everyone nervous gets nervous too? How on the earth this could happen?

In a serious tone I asked "Ms. Mahira Piramal, what is it?"

She fidgeted with her fingers and said something in gibberish "Isaidyesforanarrangedmarriage."

We all looked at her curiously as we couldn't figure out what she just said.

This time Sam spoke up in her no nonsense tone "Ms. Mahira speak up before I come to your house with Leo."

Leo is Samiksha's Golden Retriever puppy who she got as a gift from her parents on her birthday. Mahira hates animals no offence but she is scared of them, she widened her eyes in shock as she knew very well Samiksha would do that if she didn't spoke up. While Gargi and Priti started laughing.

She sighed and said "Guys, I said yes to an arranged marriage. He is my grandmother's friend's daughter's son. As my parents know him already they said he is a nice guy he has his very own company. He belongs to a rich family. I tried to deny them but Kartik explained me that I should meet him once if I don't like him I can say no. And now or after sometime I have to get married. So I said yes."

She explained while we patiently listened to her.

Kartik is her younger brother but more mature than her he always gives good advice and is the best chef. Ummm I miss his handmade cookies.

She further added " I know you girls are busy in your life but I need my girls by my side."

"This is the most unromantic way of asking your friends to be your bridesmaid." I said to make her laugh and it worked rolling her eyes she said.

"I won't ask you to be my bridesmaid." She huffed and we laughed.

Suddenly Samiksha questioned her "Why can't you just say no to marriage?"

"I can't dad has given me last warning that if I did something wrong to the prospected groom, he would snatch the company away." she said silently.

I remember the last time she went to meet the guy she scared him away by giving threats of killing him and her dad somehow found out about it.

"Why are you being so sad what if he turns out to be your prince charming?" Gargi said being the ray of positivity in our group.

"You know what I am shifting back to India and this could be the perfect reason to my family. Also I could set up my new office of ACE ARCHITECTS here. I am coming for you baby girl." I said it suddenly and winked at her. I knew she wanted me to come back to India since a long time.

"I am too coming to India back." Both Samiksha and Priti said unison making us all chuckle at their timing.

We hopefully looked at Gargi who blushed and said " I am not in India for 2 weeks .......... as we are on our honeymoon."

We all teased her for some more time.

When Mahi said "Guys I love you all I don't know what I would have done without you."

"We love you too babe." We four replied.

The call ended.

I wore my night dress and went to my bed.

I have to clear up the schedule before going to India.

I messaged my secretary that I am moving back to India so arrange the things accordingly.

He replied me with a thumbs up emoji.

Why does he behave like the typical Indian dad.

I kept my phone aside and I didn't knew when sleep engulfed me.
